Iconographic rings are inscribed with devotional images of a range of religious icons which may include one of more members of the Holy Trinity (God the Father, Christ on the Cross and The Holy Spirit), Mary the Mother of Jesus, Joseph (Jesus’s father), the three Kings, various Saints (St Catherine, St Christopher, St George, St John the Baptist. St Margaret).

The rings may or may not have an inscription present and in some cases the inscription is of the ‘Good Year’ type and it is likely that the ring was given as a New Year present.

These rings date to around the 15th C and are subject to reporting under the Treasure Act.
