Stirrup rings

Stirrup rings are a very distinctive style of ring with a pronounced triangular-shaped protruding bezel (when viewed from the side). Gemstones of various types are set in the top of the bezel. They usually belonged to wealthy members of the clergy and date from the 12th – 15th centuries although the majority are 13th – 14th C.
